Change again – Coronavirus update January 2021

Well, we managed just a few socially distanced rehearsals at Bugbrooke Community Centre. Unfortunately, with the rapidly increasing infection rate of the new version of the virus we have again entered a national lockdown. At the moment, it is not clear when we will be able to meet to play together again. Potential members should contact our secretary to see if any spaces are available and to find the full details of our covid plans at the current time.

For Christmas, we were able to give an outside rendition of a few carols, with no actual audience present, at Richmond Retirement Village. This gave a great boost in spirits to our members and hopefully also to our many hidden listeners.

During our enforced period of rest we have stayed in touch with our very own Isolation Proms, held on Sundays, in lieu of rehearsals. Many of our members participated, and some roped in members of their household, including pets!

We also made a couple of compilation videos using music adapted for us by our musical director. Please note that the editing of the videos is very much a learning curve!

Summertime – for the Summer Solstice, June 20 1920 – Amazing Grace and a band favourite, Bring Me Sunshine.

Feel inspired to join us? Then contact our secretary.
