New Members: We welcome any wind instrument player. There are no formal auditions or entry requirements. All you need is:

• your instrument
• the ability to read music
• to be able to follow the conductor’s downbeat

For most instruments, there is more than one part, suiting different playing abilities.

The Band rehearse at Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust, NN1 4AZ on Sunday evenings (car park access is on Clare Street). Rehearsals are from 7.45 pm until 9.30 pm on Sundays, with a short break in the middle.

We can arrange for a member of the band to meet you in the car park if you are unsure which door to use or do not have the door code.

Subscriptions: Our subscriptions for each year are usually payable each term. For Spring term 2025 the subscription is £30. We feel that this remains good value for money to cover our costs of paying for our musical director, the room hire for rehearsals and for new music.

Gift Aid: Please note that the Band is registered as a Charitable organisation. It would be great if you could sign ‘Gift Aid’ forms so we could reclaim the tax. Our preferred payment method is by Bank transfer.
